My Platform

As a resident of Middle Verde, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with living in Camp Verde. As we begin this election cycle, I am sharing where I stand on several crucial issues affecting our community. 

Follow the Voter-Approved General Plan: I support the General Plan that the citizens will vote on. This plan will guide Camp Verde's Town Council and staff on each specific character area and how the citizens envision using these areas. This will ensure that Camp Verde can retain its rural heritage and natural beauty while experiencing projected growth. 

Water: I will continue to ensure that Camp Verde maintains adequate and quality water. I will also continue to support projects that improve the declining infrastructure of both
water and wastewater. I will continue to advocate for promising practices that reduce water use in homes, businesses, and agriculture. 

Ordinance Update: I will actively listen to citizens' input during the town's review and update of ordinances. I will work to ensure that the updates align with the general plan. Ordinances should enhance citizens' enjoyment and safety of their property, including livestock and domestic animals. Ordinances should encourage peaceful coexistence and not overregulate. 

River and trails: I will continue my involvement in activities and actions that protect the Verde River. I will also continue my involvement in creating an integrated trail system that connects the Verde Valley and includes access points in Camp Verde, as well as in entrepreneurship.

Foster a Vibrant Downtown Community: I will work to cultivate a vibrant downtown community. By supporting our local businesses, creating inviting public spaces, and promoting cultural events, we can revitalize our downtown area and make it a hub of activity for residents and visitors.

Champion Dark Sky Preservation: I value our dark night skies and will work diligently to protect them from light pollution. Preserving our dark skies enhances our quality of life and protects local ecosystems. 

Tourism: I will support making Camp Verde an inviting destination for tourists. I supported the increase in the rate for short-term stays, which is aimed at visitors to Camp Verde. This increase will support many of the recreational activities our citizens and tourists enjoy.

I am dedicated to promoting community well-being, preserving our natural resources, and ensuring sustainable growth. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient community that we are proud to call home.
